Hard to believe Crockett is six months old! We're all swooning over him constantly, as he seems to learn a trick a day. The poor boy doesn't get any time alone!
Tomorrow we'll start the gradual ascent to a full blown schedule of academics. We've been keeping up with math all summer so that will continue. We'll return to McGuffey this week with Sophie doing oral readings in the 3rd reader. She's been enjoying Milly Molly Mandy, The Happy Little Family books, and the Pixie Hollow series all summer, so I'm not anticipating any problems.
Next week we'll add our composer (Bach) and picture study artist (Van Gogh) as well as Prima Latina. After that, it will be time to tack on Story of the World: The Ancients and Exploring God's Creation through Botany.

Just when we get hit high gear, we're packing up and going to Disney World! Nothing like a little field trip to get the academic juices flowing...
