We're in Texas, y'all!

Obviously, it's been awhile.

Between the homeschooling and the sports and the church my little happy place online fell by the wayside over a year ago. In the meantime we've got a completely new life in Texas so I feel the need to chronicle a bit. Not to mention the sad fact that packing up for said move revealed I haven't even started a baby book for my FOUR year old.

To make a very, very long story short, we now live in Boerne, Texas. It's about as far away from our beginnings in Fargo, North Dakota as you can get - evidenced primarily by the fact that it's November and we're still wearing flip flops and tee shirts. (Except for Hubby who's taken very quickly to cowboy boots). It's an adorable little town - quickly becoming a very large town - evidenced by the traffic going to and from school. Yes, my children now go to school. More on that later. Probably much, much later as I'm still fumbling my way through this new "mom of children who are never home" life.

VBS 2015

Every year is even more epic than the year before! The amazing show, the original music, and a great time teaching the 5th and 6th graders with Right Hand Man as our class mascot made this year so much fun. Tears were shed on the final day when Mr. Jude (a.k.a Pastor Eric as the villain) came to trust in Jesus. Not bad for Bible School!

Teen Helper staff. He'd wander up to an unsuspecting teen and say,
"Me hun-gee," and they'd whisk him away to the secret snack room.

March Birthday Boys

The youngest boys turned six and three in March and we had a special celebration at Disney. This was the first time without a pregnancy, nursing, diapers or some combination of all three! A much more pleasant way to experience the magic of the mouse kingdom.

Great at Eight

Crockett turned eight today. His current loves are Pokemon cards, Skylanders Trap Force figures, art sets, and Legos.

We had family fun today with breakfast in bed, presents, all sorts of games the bigger kids put on in the playroom, and a "private" showing of Alexander and the No Good Very Bad Horrible Day (it's good to be home schoolers and have many things all to yourselves during the day).

Buckeye Classic 2015

Another Buckeye Classic under our belts. Whew, it's a ton of work for all the team parents but when you add in our other five kids needing to be fed and clothed and a preacher husband who really needs to work on the weekend, it's amazing we've lived to tell.

All that aside, it was a great weekend for all the 3200 gymnasts... with special appearances from Buckeye's very own Nia Dennis and Gabby Douglas.

Bobo had a beautiful confirmation ceremony on January 18, 2014. She's always been a spiritually minded child (preaching to the children in the ball pit of the Fargo McDonald's as a preschooler is more than enough proof), but it was obvious in her Statement of Faith that she truly has come so far in her walk with the Lord.
